Welcome to Westwoodside Coarse Fishery,

Located in the North Lincolnshire countryside, Westwoodside Coarse fishery now offers three fantastic lakes offering top quality sport for match and pleasure anglers alike, with each lake offering different types of fishing and species. All pegs are accessible by car and have been very well constructed and are a generous distance apart. Match bookings are £6 per peg and day tickets are £5 for adults and £4 for concessions, the lakes are open between 7.00am and dusk in the summer and 9.00am and dusk in winter.

Our original lake Bessie’s, features 37 pegs, and has got quite a reputation for the fantastic ide fishing, with the record weight for the species a massive 114lb taken in just five hours. The lake also holds carp to 17lbs, bream to 6lb, thousands of small tench to about 5lb and lots of perch and silver fish. Stocking is done frequently and although there are plenty of carp the lake will remain a mixed coarse fishery with the view that we have something for everyone. The pond is completely reed lined with a large island to cast to running down the middle.

The second and newest lake Buddies, is a purpose built 20 peg carp match lake with fish from half a pound up to 4lbs, all platforms are 1.8mts wide to cater for anglers with disabilities who may require room for a carer and all pegs have level access. The lake is planted with reeds and features marginal shelf’s of around 2ft 6 inches deep sloping down to around 6ft and back up to 3ft deep at around 14mts to a large sunken island offering the angler the options of fishing pole, waggler or feeder tactics.

The third lake is a 30 peg snake type lake which is around 14mts wide and around 5 foot deep, again with margin shelf’s and reed beds on both the near and far banks, this lake is stocked with thousands of silver fish, which are growing on for opening next year. The lake will also be stocked up with either F1’s or crucian carp to colour up the water.
