Big Bream starting to feed. April 10th-11th

The water temperature and wind directions have been all over the place over the last month or so, with as much as 18 degrees centigade difference between day time and night time temperatures. This resulted in the water temperatures dropping from 10 degrees centigrade down to a very chilly 4.3 degrees in less than a week, this caused the carp and bream to stop feeding, but you can still get a fish a throw from the ide and other silver fish, some cracking roach and rudd upto 2lb have been caught. Alan Fisher netted 33lb and lost another 10lb in 3 hours on thurs 10th april, see photo gallery for picture and Kadie Taylor aged 10 had a fish every put in on peg 4 including a couple of tench. This weekend saw three big bream caught, a good spell of settled warm weather and frost free nights should see some good sport from the big carp and bream. The perch are spawning at the moment which could account for a lot of carp cruising about in the reed beds around the island
