Fished the lake on September 3rd with my mate Ecky Belfield for the first time as a recce for our Rochdale club match on 20/9/09. The wind blew like a hooligan and was a cold one but the fishing was 1st class, a bite a chuck off mainly the good stamp Ide up in the water, but if it got on the deck it was perch, skimmers , roach or rudd. A very enjoyoble experiance on a very bad weather day. The owner David Taylor was a top bloke with his advice and free brews and this made the day for me.

I am not one to be easily impressed,and not one for commercials, but this venue deserves a top vote on my part and next week I will be taking another mate Fatty Briggs to sample the fishing.

The venue is a top spot for people like me who do not like plastic fishing. I will be going again.
